• CMIT Green Flag Raising Ceremony

    On Friday, September 16, 2022, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy, North was recognized by the National Wildlife Federation’s (NWF) Eco-Schools USA program for exceptional achievement in educating for sustainability, and improving the environmental footprint of the school grounds, facility, and curriculum. It is the 15th school so honored in Maryland, and the 5th in Prince George’s County, and currently serving as the only one active certification, to receive the prestigious Green Flag, the Eco-Schools highest honor. We aren’t just a certified Green School, but we’re co-certified with MAEOE and NWF. We were also the 3rd in the county to earn the bronze and silver awards, respectively.

  • CMIT Annual Club Expo and Recruitment

    On Saturday, September 24, 2022, CMIT conducted its Annual Club Exploration and Recruitment with 21 advisors in the gym, plus 425 attendees from students and parents. The joyous Club Expo where student organizations and club advisors come together to showcase the various ways that students can get involved at our schools and within the CMIT community. With over 52 clubs and numerous community partners like Future Innovative Writing Engineers (FIRE), has something for everyone!

  • CMIT Hispanic Heritage Celebration Assembly

    On Thursday, September 29, 2022, CMIT’s very own Assistant Principal, Ms. Tammy Colandrea, and ever dedicated Counselor, Mr. Jose Conde lead the celebration of Hispanic culture with demonstrations of food, music, dance, and clothing! Under the direction of the dance instructor, Sra. Paola Velez, students enjoyed a traditional dance performance and a costume parade. Thanks to our families, students, staff, and community members who contribute to the opening of this month’s celebrations.

OUR VISION

The vision of CMIT is to provide multiple opportunities for Prince George’s County youth to prepare for post secondary education in a variety of fields of study in order to pursue professional careers. CMIT will enable all students to achieve their maximum potential by equipping and empowering them with analytical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills. With this vision in mind, CMIT will prepare students to become competent, responsible and successful individuals in our globalized and technology-based society through a strong academic program, a school-family-community partnership, and a strong teacher-student relationship. CMIT will inspire and challenge sixth through twelfth grade students in a creative and supportive learning environment with an academic program focusing on mathematics and information technologies to educate its students as responsible citizens.


Our Mission

In partnership with students, parents and the community, CLF schools attain educational excellence by providing a rigorous and technology-integrated education for K-12 students with an emphasis on mathematics, science, and information technologies.
This mission is accomplished by implementing an innovative curriculum that incorporates technology into instruction while covering Common Core Standard and utilizing hands-on, inquiry-based teaching methods that create an active learning environment and a student-centered educational system.
